Focus on your strengths, not weaknesses

Is Your Weakness Holding You Back?

Focus on your strengths, not weaknessesAll this week I have been working on valuable content you can use to grow in your business. Each day I have a list of task that must be done
so I can meet my personal deadline. Half-way through the week, I noticed that I really wasn’t meeting my goals – definitely not enough items marked off the list.

Here’s why???

First, I’m spending too much time thinking about the final look of the project. Second, I know graphic design is my weak area. The outcome will be that I finish my project, but I’ll be super tired and upset with myself for wasting time.

…and my moment of truth

Solution

There is nothing wrong with trying to improve, but I sincerely believe that you should focus on your personal strengths. My issue this week only proved that I can go from being really horrible at graphic design to really bad. Where is the improvement in that? I know that this will forever be a weakness for me because it has been from childhood. That’s why I hired a graphics designer.

On the other hand, what happens when you spend more time improving something you are already good at. You get better. Do you see the difference? You will not only get better, but faster.

There is so much more in life when we accept our personal strengths and weaknesses and learn how to use them.

Now it’s your turn. Get real with yourself and find out if your weaknesses are holding you back. Realize your strengths and spend more time improving the good in you.
