Don’t Let “No Money Zone” Stop You

no money zoneMost local vendor events cost $50 to $150 for a space. If money is the only factor determining if you participate, then you have to open you mind to a new way of thinking.

Option 1: For example if the event cost $150, then how many products/services do you need to sell to make $150.00. If the product cost $15, then you need to make 10 sales on the day of the event. If you plan early, then you can make 10 sales to get the money to submit your application. Thus, your business just paid for its own event. This is also the reason you should not display all of your products. Choose products according to popularity and price point. Leave the other stuff at home or in the car. If your best seller is $50, then you should not have too many $10 items available. Does this make sense?

Option 2: Partner with someone in your same company or industry and split the cost (Great for network marketers). Competition is a business killer. Entrepreneurs must work together. There is enough money out there, so don’t sweat the small stuff. Choose someone that is like-minded – this is key.

I understand what it feels like to not have $150. Years ago, I had to learn how to process the numbers realistically. My business suffered because I “left money on the table” (let’s talk about this another day). Everything you do or not, must have a strategic process to make it beneficial.
